LifeLine EMS Academy is pleased to announce that only for 2024 we are offering full-ride scholarships to a select number of students per class. If selected, each student who receives this scholarship will be awarded up to $2,000 for EMT-Basic schooling with our Academy. This stipend will cover the cost of Tuition, Pants & Boots, Workbook/Audiobook, and or first-time registry attempt. Depending on the items chosen, each student may still have some associated costs, if the costs exceed the $2,000.00 limit.
To apply for this scholarship, you must submit the following paperwork to LifeLine Academy.
- Must submit documentation showing last known GPA. The candidate must have a minimum of a 3.0 on a 4.0 scale.
- Demonstration of Financial Need
- Documentation that they live within one of the following counties. Wayne, Oakland, Macomb, and Monroe.
- Submission of a 500-word essay on Commitment to the EMS field.
The essay must be submitted with the other required documentation. Each submission must be a minimum of 500 words and will outline how you would plan to utilize this opportunity as a licensed EMT-Basic. You may discuss your goals in EMS, and plans for future schooling, etc., spelling and grammar will also be evaluated, so please be sure to proofread. Essay may be written in either MLA or APA essay formats.
The next available submissions for classes will be on May 20th, 2024, and August 29th, 2024.
All submissions must be sent no later than 6 weeks before the start of a program.
By accepting a scholarship, the student must.
- Maintain a minimum passing percentage of 75%, which is equivalent to a 3.0 on a 4.0 scale.
- Maintain a minimum attendance of 80%.
- Successfully complete all written, and hands-on competency tests.
Failure to maintain a passing grade, or to attend the required hours will result in forfeiture of their scholarship, and the recipient will be responsible for any costs that they have accrued.
